CAPS Teacher Ed Alum named Horizon Award recipient

Congratulations to Spring Hill U.S.D. 230 Elementary Horizon Award recipient, Sara (Curran) McGowan, PCES First Grade Teacher.

The Kansas Horizon Award is sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education. It recognizes and rewards teachers who have served as outstanding representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms during their first year of teaching. Horizon Award winners receive special recognition during the KEEN State Education Conference, which takes place each February in Topeka.

Sara is a 2011 graduate of Blue Valley West and an alumni of of the CAP Teacher Education program.
