How Do I Become (an Engineer)?
Are you a high school student thinking about a career in engineering? Join us Saturday morning, November 12, for an opportunity to get academic and career advice from young engineers and college reps. If you have question about what classes to take, how to land an internship, or just want to know more about career options for engineers, this is a must-attend program.
“How Do I Become (an Engineer?)” will include a one-hour panel discussion and Q&A with engineers from local firms, followed by a networking opportunity with representatives from the schools of engineering at the University of Kansas, University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas State University, Missouri Western State University, Metropolitan Community College, and William Jewell College.

Admission tickets
The event is free and open to any high school student interested in a career in the engineering field. Parents and teachers are also welcome to attend. Please register in advance for free e-tickets.
Parking
Parking is free in Library parking lots and along the west side of Holmes Street between 51st and 52nd streets. The main entrance to the Library grounds is on Cherry Street. The Linda Hall Library is not affiliated with UMKC. Parking in all UMKC lots is by permit or meter.
