New additions to the Vet Med family!

CAPS Vet Med welcomed three new bundles of joy on Friday, November 22.  New mom Ruby, who was one of our pigs birthed last October, had three happy, healthy Berkshire piglets.  The baby boy and two girl piglets are enjoying exploring their farrowing hut and climbing on Aunties Dot and Holly.  New dad, Kevin Bacon, is now spending his time back at his bachelor pad close to the barn. 

There are so many opportunities for our veterinary students to learn with our pigs – prenatal care, birthing, lactation, nutrition, behavior, life stages, vaccinations, processing piglets, and more!  A special thank you to the Swickard family and Bayer Animal Health for making our Pig Project possible!
