ALUMNI HIGHLIGHT – The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion

Mikki Bennet and Brock Humphrey were inaugural members of the CAPS Filmmaking class graduating in 2011. They are both living in Los Angeles where their professional paths recently crossed with their work on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion. The special was taped on September 10th to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series, which aired on that date in 1990. Mikki has enjoyed the chance to reconnect with Brock saying, “CAPS really kickstarted our learnings and careers. And it’s so fun to be living our dreams in the entertainment industry while looking back on where we started.”

After CAPS MIkki attended the University of Kansas, receiving in 2014 a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Film, Cinema and Video Studies. She is an Associate Creative Producer at  HBO Max, producing creative marketing campaigns for original shows/movies. Brock attended the University of Texas, receiving in 2015 a Bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television and Film. He is a Lead Assistant Editor at Will Smith’s production studio, Westbrook Media. Westbrook Media is the executive producer and HBO Max has exclusive streaming rights to all 148 episodes of the series which originally aired on NBC.
